NEWS - 200811.12.2008 Hifiklub Plzeň - Anniversary concert (14 years), CD launching
The last concert of this year took place in the full club Hifiklub. During the concert we christened our new CD "Slepá kolej 2008" and thus celebrated fourteen years of the band existence. Within the evening we tried to choose such songs that would take the audience through the entire way from the very beginning up to now. The launching ceremony was carried out during the first series by Vlaďka Lokajíčková who then played a keybord in all three songs from the new CD. Then we continued with two more series. At the end we introduced a brand new song "Půlnoční". (photo) 17.-18.10.2008 Recording in the studio Ex-Avik
For two days we shut ourselves in the recording studio Ex-Avik in Plzeň and recorded three new studio recordings that will be released as a maxisingle in the beginning of November. We would like to thank the studio owner Pavel Brom, who also was a sound and music director, for pleasant creative atmosphere as well as Vlaďka Lokajíčková who recorded keyboard parts as a guest. The monastery in Chotěšov is included among the most endagered 100 historical landmarks in the world. It was founded between 1202-1210 by the blessed Hroznata. During its existence the monastery was plundered, destroyed and rebuilt again many times. The idea of a benefit event arose in the year of 2003 due to lack of finances for purchasing tools needed for voluntary repair works in the monastery and met with a great public interest. We are glad that with our performance we could support the renovation of the monastery. Briefly: 4.5.2008 Nepomuk - Oslavy osvobození 2008
This time we were looking forward to enjoying a nice sunny afternoon and the weather had indicated it since the morning. However, it did not surprise us that much that the sky overcast already when we were loading the instruments into the car. It was raining when we were arriving in Nepomuk. Fortunately, people were not discouraged by the ups and downs of the weather and they were recompensed by our performance as well as by subsuquent sky brightening. The Pilsen club "Hifiklub" welcomed us again by its nice and pleasant atmosphere. During the evening when we were nicely surprised by the excellent sound, in addition to the usual repertoire we also played a new song Dneska hrajou s náma, which we were glad to repeat at the end as an encore. If it were not for one snapped string, the concert passed to our as well as audience´s full satisfaction. Some photos are an evidence of it. 1.3.2008 Nepomuk - Švejkova zabijačka
On our way to Nepomuk it was very windy and rainy weather so we were looking forward to sitting in heated Švejk´s pub and having something to drink. Although beer did not warm us up it brought on taste for pig delicacies. After an afternoon rehearsal in the hall we started the program with full bellies and so we had to have some slivovitz for good digestion. The audience supported us with their applause and so we successfully played three series and thus finished the first performance in the new season.
