17.-18.12.2011     Recording in the studio - ExAvik PLzeň

We spent one of the weekends before Christmas in the ExAvik studio in Plzeň and under the kind leadership by the sound master Pavel Brom we recorded four new songs. The new maxi single is released at our own expense. Launching will take place in the beginning of 2012.

14.12.2011     A Party with a Blond and a Brunette - the Theatre Dialog in Plzeň

As the music support we participated in the second talk show called “A Party with a Blond and a Brunette”. This time Markéta Čekanová and Martina Samková questioned Josef Jícha, an artist.

3.9.2011     Saturday in Plzeň - Doubravka

We always enjoy performing in the park “U Sv. Jiří”. Also this year´s “Saturday in Doubravka” organized by the agency Euronova was very nice. We would like to thank the agency for inviting us because after many years we start playing at bigger events in Plzeň again. Even though it was quite hot weather and a football match between the Czech Republic and Scotland was on TV, quite a lot of people came. After some time Míla Chlad took care of the sound and it was excellent. Therefore we could make a video recording of our newest song Hra.

2.9.2011     Plzeň - Let´s Go to School with Plzeňská teplárenská

Our performance within the program in support of the construction of the incinerator in Chotíkov began nervously and with a big delay. It was like an hour not planned training for the “sound mixers”. It was an interesting discovery of the functions of the individual cables for them; but a test of nerves for us. After that our shortened performance was good except for a minor incident with a wasp that became an avid fan of Hanuš.

Beautiful weather, fine sausages, cold beer, great sound, and plenty of people. Shortly, a successful afternoon.

11.8.2011     Plzeň - The Summer on the Embankment (The Great Pond in Bolevec)

The concert on the “Bolevák” embankment was very fine. We were the first band having a good weather here and so quite many people came. The food store was opened; we have known the soundman “Kráťa for a long time therefore the sound was OK. It was a very pleasant performance.

9.7.2011     Radnice - Radnické sedlo

From Plzeň to Radnice we travelled with the help of a GPS navigation and the voice of Pavel Liška unerringly led us to the ferry in Nadryby. We had no choice but to return to the bridge in Dolany. It was not so easy because one of our cars ended up in the ditch because of an awkward maneuver. Finally we jointly managed to get the car back on the road, crossed the Berounka river in Dolany and arrived in Radnice. The festival in the once open air swimming pool was in full swing. The atmosphere was very friendly and so we enjoyed the performance. We thank the organizers for their enthusiasm and Petr Walczysk for great sound.
PS: The way back was without problems...

18.6.2011     Plzeň - Hudební rej 2011

The 4^th year of the festival “Hudební rej” traditionally organized by Jirka Sláma from the well-known music publishing house Avik was held in the meadow “U sv. Jiří” in Plzeň - Doubravka again. In spite of the cold and rainy weather quite a lot of visitors came and in the evening when it finally stopped raining we could enjoy the unique atmosphere of this festival and the performance of Slepá kolej.

19.5.2011     Hifiklub Plzeň with Vojta Kiďák Tomáško

It was very nice to meet Kiďák when we had the honor to perform as guests at the launching of his new CD "Hádej, kdo tě má rád". In the past we used to meet Kiďák at various festivals and performances quite often and we always enjoyed it. This time we chose softer and more serious songs in order to create atmosphere for christening the CD in the presence of the sound masters Pavel Brom and Přemek Haas. Both of them are signed under the new CD. The subsequent Kiďák´s concert crowned the night. We are already looking forward to another meeting with him.

8.5.2011     Plzeň - Liberation Festival 2011

After a forced pause at big events in Plzeň we finally could play on the occasion of the Liberation Festival 2011. The stage was situated in the area of the once amphitheatre of the exhibition grounds which is now maintained by the Plaza shopping centre. An old military semitrailer was appropriately used as the stage. The space was quite narrow, the floor was not flat which was a little bit adventurous especially for the drums but also thanks to fast sounding by Petr Kráťa Kratochvíl we played our block all right. The response of the audience foreshowed we did not see them for the last time. We thank them for it.

7.5.2011     České Budějovice - The Europe Day

The trip to České Budějovice turned out very well. This time Julinka could not participate and therefore we took with us our former singer “Squirrel” Veverka Julie Štroblová as a guest. After years this meeting was very pleasant. The stage was built in the corner of the České Budějovice square. Our performance which was a part of the European Day celebration took the audience to the past because we brushed up the older songs of the repertoire we had put together still with Veverka. We were very satisfied with the performance and the audience. After delicious dinner we listened to a great concert by Anna K. and departed for home. Thanks, Veverka!

30.4.2011     Plzeň - the meadow by Šídlovák

The performance at the meadow by the Šídlovský pond in Plzeň is one of the longest performances in the entire history of Slepá kolej. At the “Ranč Šídlovák“ there was a celebration of erecting a maypole which was followed by our four-hour block with a several short pauses. We played almost all our songs. We thank Jirka Šneberk for the fine sound.

17.3.2011     Hifiklub Plzeň

The first performance of Slepá kolej in 2011 took place on the stage of the Pilsen Hifiklub where we were invited as a guest of the band Pakáš from Příbram. Traditional relaxed atmosphere in the audience and quality sound were promising a nice concert again. Considering the musical style of our hosts we chose harder songs from our repertoire, among others a brand new song "Hra" and remade "Vylitý barvy". Our fifty minutes passed very quickly and after an encore we enjoyed the performance of our hosts.
